Gilbert native Kemper saddles up as attorney for Rose Law Group

Paige Kemper’s love of horses and the law coalesced into her career as an associate attorney with a unique specialty at Rose Law Group in Scottsdale.

In May, the Gilbert native joined the state’s largest woman-founded law firm as a member of the equine and litigation departments.

Equine law seems a natural for Kemper, who was an equestrian team member at both Kansas State University, where she earned bachelor’s degrees in political science and philosophy, and Oklahoma State University School of Law, where she graduated summa cum laude with her law degree in 2022.

She came to Oklahoma with an athletic scholarship to ride with the Oklahoma State University Cowgirls, consistent winners of National Collegiate Equestrian Association titles.

During her academic tenure at OCU Law, she distinguished herself by receiving the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Contract Law and Criminal Procedure.

The national award is given to the highest-scoring student in each law school class.

Kemper, who remains a Gilbert resident, said she found melding her love of horses and law has been a well-received combination for horse owner clients, and her practice.

“I find many of my equine clients find a lot of comfort to have an attorney with my equestrian background,” she said. “There’s a lot of situations that are unique to the equine industry, and they like having someone who understands.”
