Residents in the Lantana Ranch neighborhood near Chandler’s airport are upset over a proposed warehouse and distribution center they fear will overload the road with semis.
About a mile away, the city’s Airport Commission raised concerns about a cabinet-maker that wants to open shop.
Both projects show the tightrope city leaders must walk as they balance community concerns and the push for jobs on nearly 1,000 acres in the Chandler Airpark, and even more undeveloped land surrounding the airport.
