McDowell Brings 20-years and a wide range of litigation experience
(SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.) – Scottsdale based Rose Law Group pc is pleased to add experienced and accomplished litigator David McDowell as an integral part of its growing litigation department in 2015.
McDowell, who has more than 20 years under his belt brings extensive experience litigating commercial and contract disputes, professional liability claims, product liability claims, construction defect claims, indemnity and insurance claim, and personal injury and wrongful death claims arising from automobile accidents, trucking accidents, construction site accidents, consumer and commercial products, and premises liability.
“His experience with large corporate clients is essential in our expanding litigation department. David has a stellar record of success and his hard work ethic fits right into our culture,” said Jordan Rose, founder and president Rose Law Group.
McDowell, who learned the value of hard work on his family’s Southeast Washington farm, graduated with honors in the top 15% of his class with an undergraduate degree in business. He completed his Juris Doctorate in 1994 at University of Oregon and University of Idaho where he also graduated with honors in the top 10% of his class. He practiced law in Oregon and Washington for six years litigating real estate disputes and handling business and real estate purchases and sales. While in Washington and Oregon, he worked closely with several companies doing turn-around work on retail and industrial properties. With a strong accounting background, McDowell excelled in assisting clients with managing the profitability of the projects, as well as developing creative solutions to financing, tenanting, refurbishing, and selling the projects.
In 2001, McDowell moved to Arizona at the request of a client to continue turn-around work and here the seasoned litigator began building his litigation practice. While litigating cases, McDowell continued his transactional practice including real estate and business transactions, entity formation, stock and asset purchases and sales, commercial financing, commercial leasing, and contract negotiation and drafting. He also managed two law firms since 2005.
“It was important for me to go somewhere where I could continue offering a one-stop-shop when it comes to litigation and transactional work,” said McDowell. “Rose Law Group is just the perfect fit for what I am looking to accomplish now on the litigation side and the high-level of services we want to continue to provide our clients.”
In recent years McDowell’s practice focused on meeting the needs of local and national retailers. In addition to handling personal injury claims arising from premises accidents, automobile accidents, and commercial trucking accidents, he has assisted clients with subrogation claims, CAM reconciliations, landlord disputes, lease negotations, and indemnity claims against landlords and product manufacturers and distributors, and lease negotiation.
McDowell is licensed to practice in Arizona state and Federal courts, Washington state and Federal courts, and in Oregon.
In his free time McDowell enjoys remodeling homes for resale, fly fishing, and running.
