Mr. Knowlton devotes the majority of his practice to real estate zoning & entitlements, finance, commercial litigation, trusts and estates, corporate law, and government relations. Also, Mr. Knowlton is a member of the Employment Law team, advising employers and employees with respect to compliance with federal and state anti-discrimination laws, from the administrative stage to personnel hearings and litigation. Mr. Knowlton is admitted to practice law in Arizona.
Mr. Knowlton earned his J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, as well as his Master’s of Real Estate Development from ASU in 2008. In 2002, Mr. Knowlton received his B.S. in Economics and B.A. in English from the University of Utah, where he graduated with honors. Mr. Knowlton was an Honors Scholar at Selwyn College, Cambridge University in 2000.
Mr. Knowlton is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and Lambda Alpha International Student Association. Prior to law school, Mr. Knowlton worked as a real estate analyst for a commercial urban in-fill developer in San Diego, specializing in Brownfield site acquisition and environmental remediation. Also, while in college, Mr. Knowlton founded the Utah East Africa Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that constructs small-scale AIDS clinics in rural Uganda.
