A fourth generation Arizonan, Kim brings a love the state and a varied legal background to the Rose Law Group, including wide ranging private sector and government experience. Kim is also a Judge Pro Tempore in Maricopa County Superior Court, concentrating on alternative dispute resolution and serving on the benches of several metro-area municipal courts hearing misdemeanor and protective order matters.
She has worked as a litigator, general business advocate, lobbyist and administrator, performing various roles, including corporate counsel for the largest manufactured housing dealer in the West; counsel/lobbyist for a major sports shooting club; Director of the Water Division of the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality; civil and criminal litigation attorney with the Arizona Attorney General’s environmental section; legislative intern; paralegal at a major law firm, and administrator at the Arizona Department of Revenue. She spent a number of years in solo practice focusing on the legal needs of small, but growing businesses in Maricopa and Yavapai counties. Kim has also appeared before numerous boards and commissions and has substantial experience in administrative law.
In addition she has co-authored three Southwestern cookbooks, is a member of the Board of Directors of Community Food Connections which operates the Downtown Phoenix Public Market, serves on the Maricopa County Air Pollution Control Board and has over 50 hours of mediation training. She is the former president of the Arizona Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired and volunteer reader for the Sunsounds Reading Service for the Blind. In her spare time she posts on her blog with everything from recipes to cultural critique.
